Pennsylvania's health care coordination strategy

The state is monitoring counties closely to see if counties are implementing appropriate health oversight and drafting coordination plans. Many counties utilize a managed care system for children in placement. There is an emphasis on special-needs children maintaining the same primary care physician and the state requires compliance with Early Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT).  Read more.
